Each cell is autonomous yet interdependent. This means that each cell has its own leadership, operation, and self-determination, but they are all interconnected and rely on each other to function.

ZEIT's unique multidistributed organizational system enables the community to operate efficiently and collaboratively, integrating global information with local perspectives and providing an innovative platform for exchanging ideas and solutions to global issues.

how do we operate?

Traditional organizational structure can be centralized, decentralized, or distributed. Zeit has developed its own system, the multidistributed, which selectively combines elements from all three and allows extensive member participation and influence in decision-making and the direction of the organization based on their skills and experiences. This structure is ideal for collaborative and innovative organizations, such as Zeit, that values the diversity and creativity of its members.

ZEIT - POSTAGEM (98).png

With big and complex goals in mind, Zeit is made up of four autonomous yet interdependent cells where all members have a say and take part in decisions. The multidistributed system enables Zeit to be innovative and adaptable, appreciating the diversity and creativity of its members, resulting in solid legacies.

To achieve this goal, the community operates through four autonomous and interdependent cells.

These cells include the "Chapters," local cells based in cities; "Regions," national cells bringing together all the chapters in a country; "Blocks," international cells composed of groups of countries in a specific area; and the "Council," the global cell formed by the Directories linked to specific themes and subjects.

Each cell has its own leadership, operations, and self-determination in its affairs, except for the official calendar. No cell is subordinated to another, and all are equally important for the community's smooth operation.

Moreover, the cells are interdependent. It means that they all report to the underlying cells for analysis and databases, reach out to others for exchanging matters and participants, contribute to the official calendar of the others, and rely on each other to fulfill the community's full operation.

WHERE WE ARE?

These are some places where Zeit currently has permanent members (up to 2023). There are several other countries where we have non-permanent or occasional community participants, as well as countries where we've already engaged in Preferable Futures Programs or partnered with other organizations with similar purposes.
